According to data published by Turkish Advertisement Association (Reklamcılar Derneği), advertisement investments in Turkey grew by 20% in 2011. Total of advertisement spending last year stood at 4.32 Billion TL.
The lions share went to TV ads with 56% of total investment by advertisers. 24% was spend on print media. Online advertisement reached 8% just above outdoor (billboards) that stayed at 7%. It was followed by radio & Cinema ads. Digital sector reached it's highest growth rate with 37%. Total of 356 Million TL were invested in online advertising which is roughly divided equally between search and display.
Even though digital advertising grows in much higher rates than other conventional media overall online sector makes up only a small section (7,97%) of total advertisement spending in Turkey.

Business with good advertisement has a good chance to profit. I'm sure this is one of the main reason that advertisement in Turkey has been increasing over the past years.
