Google +1: Socialization of Search

Google finally launched its much published Google +1 button. At first It might seem a copy of much "liked" Facebook LIKE button, that has become international sport for web surfers to "LIKE" everything that we do like or sometimes just to cheer up a friend. But Google does not only apply this to user generated content it is much more than that.

With the launch of this button we are entering a new phase in the search realm: The Socialization of Search. From now on, once logged in your Google account you will see what all your friends liked in relevant search results. We are gearing up towards a more managed and more customized search results. The immense growth of Social Media and user generated content - largely thanks to Facebook- is causing search engines to evolve themselves into even larger giants to embrace all the content, social feed backs and inbound links.  We are moving towards an online world based on layers of digital communities gathering around issues. These "issue based communities" will now affect the search as well.

With Google +1 we will not only help the websites we like to go up in search results but simultaneously recommend it to our social networks.
